Leather laser engraving, refined contrast, high recognition
Leather is one of the most popular materials for laser engraving. The result feels premium, ages nicely and is ideal for gifts and corporate presents.

Suitable materials
- Smooth leather, nappa
- Suede and roughout
- Faux leather, PU leather
- Felt as an alternative
Typical applications
- Wallets and card holders
- Belts with a name or logo
- Notebooks with leather covers
- Leather patches for jackets and bags
- Corporate gifts and client presents
- Company logos on furniture upholstery
How leather behaves under the laser
The laser removes the top layer of the leather. On smooth leather this creates a warm brown contrast. On dark suede the fibre structure becomes visible and looks especially natural.
The engraving is permanent, almost odourless and free of pigment, so the character of the leather is preserved.
